According to Paul Dogboe, father and manager of former World Boxing Organization super bantamweight champion Isaac Dogboe, he has no knowledge of any impending battle between his son and the current WBO Global titlist Wasiru Mohammed.
“You know this people they should know that we are signed with Top Rank and nothing has been said about this fight and moreover too, we need top rank if they have to do something like that. You know they cannot just put Isaac and Gyatabi on the poster and say we’re fighting.” Paul Dogboe exclusively revealed to BoxingGhana.
The world champion trainer punched holes in the circulated image of his son and his former sparring partner virtually branding it as merely hooks (hoax)
“There is no date there, there is nothing, so that tells you that we haven’t engaged them in any talks, you understand? If they say, oh Isaac and Gyatabi, they want to fight Isaac, they have to talk to me and let’s see what’s up if they can raise the money then we talk to Top Rank then the fight is on.” He said.
“But if that is not done, we cannot say we’re fighting Gyatabi. It’s as if they want to fight Isaac but not do a poster as if we’ve talked about the fight. There’s nothing about this fight. You know so there’s nothing, nothing.” Paul Dogboe stated categorically.
He entreated who ever is behind this to just do the right thing through the channels and structures.
