The lightweight division becoming a tough war zone with Gervonta and Tagoe joining the party

Most have kept their eyes on few tough fighters in the lightweight division. From the likes of Robert Easter, Vasiliy Lomachenko, Teofimo Lopez to Richard Commey who have recently held or currently holds a world title.

One name that has been climbing the ranks is Gervonta “Tank” Davis, who currently holds the WBA World lightweight strap. Tank Davies won the vacant World title after a round 12 TKO off Yuriorkis Gamboa ensuring his unbeaten record is kept clean.

The Baltimore (Maryland, USA) southpaw native has a record of 23 wins, 22 by way of knockout with no defeat. His enviable record has therefore set him high to match up with the likes of Lomachenko and Teofimo Lopez with possible fights with them not far away.

The Honduran-American who holds the IBF strap thinks otherwise, criticizing Davis’ win after fighting a 38 year old Gamboa whiles he fights with top guys.

“Lomachenko is top, why do you think I’m fighting the dude? They put Gervonta Davis on there, he can’t even make 135. Devin Haney is too scared to fight an actual opponent, fakes an injury or gets surgery so he doesn’t have to fight his mandatory. A bunch of bitches in this sport now, lot of p-ssies in this sport now. Davis can’t even knock out an old Gamboa. I could talk a lot of sh-t,” Lopez wrote.

The lightweight division is becoming very interesting with other great fighters like Ghana’s Emmanuel Tagoe joining the party as Richard Commey promises a comeback for his title he lost last year.

We can’t wait to experience a huge blast in the world of boxing very soon, and the world can’t wait too.
