Manager and promoter of the WBC Heavyweight King Tyson Fury, Frank Warren in a statement on the possibility of a trilogy fight between Wilder and Fury made this clear in an interview

“The situation is that Anthony Joshua is going to fight [Kubrat] Pulev, so you can’t expect Tyson to sit around on his backside inactive.

“So it looks like the fight will happen unless something dramatically changes, which means AJ would have to forsake his fight with Pulev.”

He continued
“No one wants to see it more than me, I promise you, and no one wants it more than Tyson.
“We want the fight to happen, of course, and AJ is holding the belts Tyson never lost in the ring. From my personal position I want him to prove he really has the beating of AJ, which I sincerely believe.

“We want the fight to happen and will do all we can to make it happen.”

The Queensbury Promotions boss did not only assure fans Fury will fight Joshua, he also mentioned when that’s going to happen

“As long as they keep winning it will happen – it will happen this year.

“The situation is that Anthony Joshua is going to fight [Kubrat] Pulev, so you can’t expect Tyson to sit around on his backside inactive.
“So it looks like the fight will happen unless something dramatically changes, which means AJ would have to forsake his fight with Pulev.” The British promoter reiterated.
