Team ‘GameBoy’ Tagoe has extended their heartfelt congratulatory message to the now IBF world lightweight champion Richard Oblitey Commey for his hard work and eventual reward with a world title.
“We want to congratulate a brother Richard Commey for his achievement, God has finally rewarded him for his hard work and dedication. Sometimes, the nature of our trade makes it seem like we are rivals but everything is just business. We are wishing him all the best in his future endeavours. Ghana is proud of him.” Team GameBoy stated.
The current WBO Africa lightweight champion is preparing for his defense against Russian Vyacheslav Gusev(25-58KOs) on 23rd of this month billed for the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra- Ghana.
Also at stake in that encounter will be the
vacant International Boxing Federation International Lightweight Title.
Ghana’s Emmanuel Tagoe (29-1, 14 KOs ) is now ranked 4 by the World Boxing Organization in the latest rankings released last week.
Both Emmanuel Tagoe and Richard Commey are under the same promotional hub in Dibella Entertainment based in the States and is scheduled to move to the states after the bout just like Richard Commey.
