This December must be christened the ‘month of pugilism’ in the Ghanaian boxing calendar which is fully packed with boxing match-ups and promotions as Greene Code Boxing Promotions in collaboration with Defenders Boxing Club presents “A Night of Knockout” in the central regional town of Swedru on Friday the 28th of December, 2018.
It promises to be a thrilling boxing experience as over fifty boxers have been assembled from all over Ghana to justify their inclusion into the National team proper, the Black Bombers.
The event houses Bukom Banku’s silencer, Bastie Samir who is set for a showdown with his brother Issah Samir in an exhibition bout on the day.
Local favourite TJ Defender will fight against Ghana Police’s rep Stephen Martey Quaye on the night. There are some musicians on the bill including Size Zero, Tabubu the superstar, Buda and more.
This is an event which is sanctioned by the Ghana Boxing Federation under the able leadership of Mr. George Lamptey.
‘A Night of Knockout’ is a two day event which is scheduled to take place at the Swedru Sports Stadium, in Swedru.
Tickets are already selling fast as popular stands is 10 Ghana cedis whiles 20 Ghana cedis is going for the VIP’s.
A night of Knockout is in collaboration with stakeholders in the boxing fratenity of Ghana which includes the Director of Sports Council in the Central Region, President of Amateur Boxing Federation in Ghana,
Director National Sports College, Director General-NSC, Deputy Director General NSC, Omanhene of Swedru, the MCE and the Security Services in Swedru.
