SOMALIA’S ONE-MAN ARMY IN KINSHASA BONANZA
▪️ Somalia is represented by one boxer in the Africa Boxing Championships
London-based Abdirahman Omar is not worried that he’s the only Somali boxer taking part in the Africa Elite Boxing Championships.
Omar’s trip to Kinshasa has been made possible by well wishers who funded him following the inability of the Somalia Federation to do so owing to financial constraints.
“I thank the fans who supported me, I’m here to win a medal and not just to add the numbers,”said Omar who will be fighting in the middleweight division.
