Ghana’s Solomon Otoo has been named as International Matchmaker of the year by the British & Irish Boxing Authority (BIBA) in their 2017 Year End wards.
Otoo received his award last Saturday. The Ghanaian in 2017 put up two great fights – Tackie Annan vs Nathan Beatie and Bukom Banku vs Bastie Samir.
A citation from BIBA reads:
“The first of the British & Irish Boxing Authority (BIBA) 2017 Year End awards is for INTERNATIONAL MATCHMAKEkR OF THE YEAR and is awarded to Solomon Otoo.”
After receiving the award, Otoo in an interview with Boxingghana.com expressed his happiness in claiming the award.
“I’m very happy that i was named as International Matchmaker of the year BIBA, it means that my work is being recognized,”he said.
‘This award will motivate me to double my efforts and i know i have the qualities to put up more great fights,” he added.
