Daniel Selasi Gorsh, a name to look-out for in boxingdom, a star of the future, and a potential world title prospect. Though yet to go pro, there’s no doubt about his talent, as exhibited once again at a local tournament organised by BIGZIE at the Accra Sports Stadium (SPORTS HALL), better known as the D.G. Hathiramani Hall, over the weekend.
The young promising Selasi Gorsh, who recently received a national team call-up to the Black Bombers thrilled patrons and skillfully dispatched his old nemesis, John Commey, from the Black Panthers Gym.
This was the fourth encounter between these two promising future stars, with John Commey bagging the first two encounters and the ever improving Selasi Gorsh winning the last two back to back.
Experienced trainer Carl Lokko was at the corner of Selasi Gorsh to issue tactical instructions to his young protege, unlike the previous encounters with John Commey, when the coach was on an assignment abroad.
This was the 5th edition of the series of BIGZIE FIGHT night, which was christened ‘ACCRA VS LOME’ which took place over the weekend.
On the night. there were some notable winners, as Emmanuel Quartey of the Bronze Gym, and gym mate of Selasi Gorsh, equally put up a spirited performance with share class to floor his opponent, Africanus Neequay, from the Sea view Gym to emerge victorious.
Daniel Selasi Gorsh is set to go professional latest by next year, 2020, and a lot is expected of this young boxing sensation.
