Saul Canelo Alvarez made quick work of England’s Rocky Fielding to take his WBA super middleweight championship this morning at the Madison Square Gardens over just three rounds in a brutal TKO.
Asked how he felt at his new 168lbs weight, The Mexican Champ responded
“very good, very strong” at 168lbs through a translator. “I didn’t have to dehydrate myself to make weight. I feel good and I feel strong.” He says the body attack was the script from the beginning.” Alvarez stated.
In all, the Mexican who is making his first defense of his strap he won against old nemesis Gennady Golovkin landed an incredible 73 punches in all the three pulsating rounds, with and incredible 35 of those to the body of Rocky Fielding.
Saul ‘Canelo Alvarez (51-1-2, 35 KOs) dominated the WBA champion Rocky Fielding (27-2, 15 KOs), as the Brits visited the canvas four times before a third-round technical knockout.
He nullified the reach advantage of Rocky Fielding by implementing more body works.
The multiple-time world champion in three weight classes, in WBA, WBC, Ring magazine and lineal middleweight titles just added WBA ‘regular’ super-middleweight strap this morning in New York
