Many boxing connoisseurs shared their thoughts on Emmanuel Tagoe versus Ryan Garcia ahead of the lightweight blockbuster showdown slated 9th April at the Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas, USA.

Boxing Ghana, your most authoritative boxing portal decided to sample views of some boxing stakeholders and has compiled few of their submissions for readers. Some of these boxing people gave predictions from their own experienced lenses.

Boxing writer and former GBA PRO, Sammy Heywood Okine expressed

“Looks like Ryan Garcia winning, because every thing is in his favor including the bill organisers, but Emmanuel Tagoe is not a cheap boxer, he can change the game to his tune and dictate the pace. As a Ghanaian my bet will be on the Game Boy.”

Michael Nii Yarboi Annan of Don’s Promotions also shared his view briefed ;

“Ryan Garcia for me. Tagoe does not possess the power to knock Ryan”

Bernard Neequaye of Graphic Sports Has this to say;

“I think it must be a very strategic fight for Tagoe because of the strength and speed of Garcia.

“If you look at Garcia’s performance against an Olympic gold medalist Luke Campbell in his last fight, you can tell that he is indeed one of the best lightweights in the world. Honestly, I think Tagoe must be extraordinary to beat Garcia on April 9 and must map out a strategy to deal with Garcia’s power and speed because this bout will be the biggest test of his career and he must not disappoint if he indeed wants to become a world champion. I wish him all the best” Bernard concluded.

Samuel Ofosuhene (Sammy Ofosuhene). Managing Chief Editor Boxing Ghana.

“Contrary, I fancy an Emmanuel Tagoe victory. Yes, Garcia fought Luke Campbell but take it or leave it, Luke is not so special a boxer like Emmanuel Tagoe. Garcia is a show business boxer who understands the craft and the business that follows it. He selects his fights and only accepted Tagoe because he really does not know the Ghanaian…mind you this is Tagoe’s second fight in the USA and to Garcia, Tagoe is the weakest link now in the lightweight division. But that is exactly where he is wrong, because Tagoe is very experienced, a crafty boxer and one bullishly confident as such unlike most African boxers.

With all odds against the former IBO World lightweight champion, Tagoe must surely push for a knockout or totally ‘outpunch’ his opponent if the fight travels the full length.

Best of luck to Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Tagoe.
