APOLOGY

I Robert ‘Stopper’ Quaye will like to render unqualified apology to Mr. Michael Nii Yarboi Annan and his team at Don’s Promotion.

This is a man who took me as a son and I call him ‘Daddy’, but my recent actions and inaction has caused my boxing career to retrogress, which I’ve regretted.

Moving forward, I will be discipline and fulfill all my part of the Managerial and Promotional contracts. I’m grateful for all he has done for me and I will never repeat those misbehaviours again.

Daddy, kindly forgive me. Thank you.

Signed
Robert ‘Stopper’ Quaye

When boxingghana.com contacted Mr. Michael Nii Yarboi Annan, he recounted the influences that surrounds the boy, hence making him indiscipline but reiterated his firm conviction to accept him back into his stables on a condition of good behaviour and honest exhibition of remorse as well as attitudinal change.

“I dont have a problem with the boy, but I have a problem with some people in the industry who think they can undermine other people. I have to think about it, if am going to invest in that young talent, with my team. The purse of Marios Matamba is the $7,500 plus Business class tickets of $5,000 plus sanction fee of $3,000. So I will not entertain any boxer who shows indiscipline.”

Background:

Ghana’s Super lightweight prospect Robert Quaye signed for Dons Promotions 10 days after leaving Baby Jet Promotions but was still being influenced by some unscrupulous people to switch camp, hence his gross insubordination and blatant show of indiscipline towards his stables, compelling the CEO to cut all emoluments due him.

Situation Now:
The very talented boxer has spoken of his remorse towards his promotional and management outfit after he was left dry by those unscrupulous influencers.

Robert Quaye was scheduled to fight Marios Matamba after a purse worth thousands of dollars was agreed for the regular champion to fight in Ghana. But preparations was brought to a standstill when he decided to show gross insubordination and indiscipline due to influence.
