The Road To Paris 2024 hasn’t been easy for Team Ghana so far as eight (4 Hitters and 4 Bombers) out of the twelve have bow out of the Africa Olympic Boxing Qualifiers currently ongoing in Dakar, Senegal.
The four, who are still in the competition to fight for a slot to Paris next year are Ornella Sathoud (the only Hitter left), Theophilous Kpakpo Allotey, Joseph “Jaguar” Commey and Jonathan Tetteh.
In a quest to qualify to the Olympic finals in Paris next year, the remaining four will contest in the quarter finals on Wednesday, September 13 to brighten their chances to Paris.
Below is the schedules for tomorrow’s quater finals fights;
Ornella Sathoud will face Elizabeth Adhiambo Andiego of Kenya in the Women’s Middleweight (75kg) contest at 12:00hrs.
Jonathan Tetteh versus Mohammed Houmri (Algeria) in the Men’s Heavyweight (92kg) at 12:00hrs
Theophilous Allotey versus Fathia Shafik Mawanda (Uganda) in the Men’s Flyweight (51kg) at 17:00hrs
Joseph Commey versus Bekka Jugurtha Ait (Algeria) in the Men’s Light Welterweight (63.5kg) at 17:00hrs
