Ghana’s Richard Commey will go into Saturday’s fight with Alejandro Luna with new trainer.

Commey has hired the services of American trainer Andre Rozier after spiting with long term trainer Carl Lokko.

“The change to Andre Rozier as my trainer was something I needed and wanted. I’m very happy to be working with one of the best trainers in the country and so far he’s helped me improve in many ways,” Commey said at the final press conference to herald the bout on Thursday at the Omni La Mansion in San Antonio, USA.

“I know that Luna is going to apply pressure and come forward. He’s going to look to throw big right hands, so we’re getting ready for all of that.

“I just have to stick to my game plan and make sure I’m always first. My job is to go in and get the win and convince the judges any way that I can that I’m the better fighter.”

Rozier recently guided Sadam Ali to defeat Miguel Cotto with a 12-round unanimous decision in the latter’s final professional fight.

Andre Rozier is an American boxing trainer out of New York. Alongside training, Rozier is also the creator and exclusive designer of the popular Havoc brand boxing apparel, a boutique clothing company that provides boxers with glitzy shorts and jackets that push the boundaries of boxing fashion.

He has also trained fighter including former WBA middleweight titleholder Daniel Jacobs, Joe Greene, Curtis Stevens, Gary Stark Jr., Sadam Ali and Ivan Golub.
