PRINCE OKO NARTEY TO FACE AMERICAN LAWRENCE KING IN A SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT CONTEST THIS SATURDAY

Billed on the under card of the WBC / WBO Youth championship bout between Alfred Lamptey of Ghana and Iddi Kayumba of Tanzania is the Super Middleweight contest between Ghana’s Prince Oko Nartey (8-1, 7KOs) and Lawrence ‘Dawg’ King (9-1, 8KOs) from America.

Prince Oko Nartey, made his boxing pro debut on the 29th of April 2017 and has since lost one bout against James Kraft for the vacant International IBO World Youth Light Heavy title.

He has since remained focus and in the best shape with constant training and dieting.

Prince Oko Nartey ‘P.O.N. Boxing’ is slated on the bill to face Lawrence King of the United States of America. Born Lawrence Leanthony King alias Dawg made his pro debut on the 16th of February 2017 and currently has a total bout of 10 and losing one to Jaba Khositashvili.

Prince Oko Nartey who has been determined to climb to the world stage and wrap a world title around his waist told BoxinGhana.com,

“I have been training even when I have no fights. I still train when I am convinced I am not fighting any time soon and I even train extra harder when I know I have a fight and definitely I will give Ghana a show to remember”.

With Ghana currently flourishing on the world front because of the heroics they exhibited during the Tokyo Olympics, everyone is rooting for Ghanaian boxers to start competing for world titles which has been promised by Prince Oko Nartey.

The fight is set to be staged live from the Bukom Boxing Arena, Accra, Ghana this Saturday, Promoted by Alex Ntiamoah-Boakye’s Box Office Sports Promotions and sanctioned by the Ghana Boxing Authority.
