Ultimate Sports on HSTV is set to embark on a life documentary on teen age boxing sensation Joseph Awinongya Jr. who is currently rated one in the United States 90 lbs division and a four time national champion.

Joseph Awinongya Jr aka ‘JoJo’ was adopted by the number one boxing TV station in the country, HSTV early in the year, commencing an extensive reportage on the young boxer who is becoming a household name in Ghana and by extension Africa, and making mother Ghana proud in far away in USA.
The content of the release states;
“HSTV GHANA is profiling a career documentary on this adopted Ghanaian fighter currently rated No. 1 in the 90lbs division in the USA from the month of May to July.
Joseph Awinongya Jr is a four time USA national champion who is billed to become a world champion and Africa’s first pay per view star.
Adopted by Ghana’s Ultimate boxing station HSTV, the station is resolved to carry out an extended life documentary on “JoJo” in Ghana and abroad.
The activities lined up for this important branding, career and life documentary on Joseph Awinongya commences in two phases.”
The said documentary which is meant to motivate other young Ghanaian and African young aspiring fighters. The hugely anticipated documentary is set to be in two phases.
The first phase involves a press Conference to officially launch the project on May 25. Venue: HSTV Studios inside the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), Kanda at 12pm, Interaction with Jojo’s boxing Godfather and former Ghana great Azumah Nelson. An interview with three former Presidents of Ghana on Joseph Awinongya Jr’s young career achievements in that young age of 12, Upclose with Long admirers and sponsors of Joseph Awinongya, including the famous “Alhajie Innusah” and the owner of VVIP bus transportation firm. A visit to his hometown in Bolgatanga, A message from the President of the Ghana Boxing Federation President George Lamptey.
The second Phase involves; Life style and daily routine of the young boxer, An exclusive interview with his father and trainer, An interview with the senator of Illinois and the Chicago Police Department on why they honoured him, Profiling his school and academics records, A Vox Pop with the African Community in the USA, An interview with Joseph Awinongya Jr himself and many others.
Joseph Awinongya has just qualified for the USA nationals and is currently preparing for the Junior Olympics in July.
