PINOY’S BEST GOING FOR THE WABA WORLD SUPREME FLYWEIGHT TITLE

Boxer Cristhian Araneta, the Asia Pacific WBC champion who fought for the WBC world championship in Arena José Sulaimán, Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico and retire, is piping for the WABA World Supreme Flyweight Title.

The Pilipino from Cebu has made a great name in the sport of boxing flooring a number of hard hitting opponents. Araneta who have amassed 17 wins 1 loss (retirement) and 0 draw would headline at the WABA’s fist World Supreme Title in the Asian Pacific rim.

“He is the nice kid and if the Ratings Chairman Wille Saayman gives him a clean bill, this will be a roller-coaster for WABA in the Asian Pacific” said Onesmo McBride, WABA’s Founding President and Chairman of the Board.

The diminutive Pinoy has had a well oiled career in the paid ranks boxing since 2013 when he KOed Garry Rojo at the Poblacion Balamban Sports Complex, Balamban, Philippines.

Araneta won the vacant Philippines Boxing Federation (PBF) Light Fly Title by beating Charlie Cabilla in 2015.

His star shone in 2017 when he won the vacant World Boxing Organisation Oriental Light Fly Title at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino, Cebu City, Phillipnes by sending Demsi Manufoe of Indonesia to the canvas in the first round.

In 2018 he won the vacant World Boxing Council Asian Boxing Council Silver Light Fly Title at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex, Barangay Centro, Mandaue City against his fellow Pinoiy Jerry Tomogdan.

His luck might be on the rise again if he wins the WABA Supreme World Title against opponent to be approved by WABA’s Ratings Chairman Wilie Saayman.
