Seven (7) male and five (5) female boxers along with supporting team officials have arrived in the Senegalese capital, Dakar to compete in the African Olympic Boxing Qualifiers where they will attempt to book tickets to the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.
Before their departure from Accra, the CEO of Tribal Sports Wear & Kustom Looks Kwab Asamoah, who is also an executive member of the Ghana Judo Association presented kits to the Black Bombers & Hitters.
Mr. Asamoah who is a well-known sports enthusiast, former athlete and philanthropist, presented the items as his contribution to support the boxers in their upcoming Olympic Boxing Qualification Championship.
The shorts and vests were received on behalf of the team by GOC Director of Communications Yaw Ampofo Ankrah who thanked the donor for his patriotic gesture.
Charles Jojo Ephson, the Communication Officer of Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF), is among officials who accompanied the boxers to Senegal, received the items on team’s behalf prior to their departure.
The CEO of Tribal Sports Wear & Kustom Looks was also at the Kotoka International Airport to show solidarity with the team.
President of the GBF DSI Bernard Quartey is highly optimistic of a solid performance by his Men & Women to excel in Senegal.
“They have trained very hard and will give their best team to make us proud as always. I want to thank the GOC President and the Sports Minister for their support towards this all important qualification championship”.
