Mr. Daniel Saka Acquaye, the Deputy Director (Technical) of the National Sports Authority (NSA) has been laid to rest on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Kaneshie in Accra.
Saka Acquaye passed away on June this year at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra after battling an illness.
In attendance to grace the funeral were the President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) Ben Nunoo Mensah, Director General of National Sports Authority, Professor Peter Twumasi, and his two former Director Generals; Mr Joe Kpenge and Mrs Alice Attipoe as well as the Technical Advisor to Sports Minister Hon Isaac Asiamah (MP), Dr Owuru Ansah and the Deputy Director General (Administration) of NSA, Mr Majeed Bawa.
Others present at the funeral grounds include the Communication Consultant to Minister of MOYS, Dr Ahmed, MCE of Accra, Hon Adjei Sowah, Regional Directors of NSA, and staff of the Authority from all Regions in Ghana.
Members of the handball fraternity in the security services and the sports media were also represented.
