The top-ranked Africa’s Continental Action Sports Photographer for 2023 has confidently rebutted Alex Ntiamoah Boakye of Box Office Sports Promotions, asserting that Boakye’s claims of having made him who he is today are unfounded.

His first release was pretty straight forward and read;

“It’s important to set the record straight: the CEO of Box Office Sports Promotions has had no contribution to my achievements or the person I am today. My journey, including earning the prestigious title of AIPS 2023 No.1 ranked Africa’s Continental Action Sports Photographer, is the result of my hard work, dedication, and skill.

It is my photography and contributions that have played a significant role in elevating Box Office Sports Promotions to its current standing. My work brought visibility, prestige, and value to the brand. My success stands independently, and it is a testament to my relentless pursuit of excellence, not the result of any external influence from the CEO.”

Background

Information intercepted by Boxing Ghana, has confirmed that the recent melee stemmed from a business transaction related to Alex’s last bout on November 26.

According to a reliable source, Nii decided to release only the paid photos to which Alex was vehemently opposed. The matter escalated  when UBO was equally asked to pay a fee in order to have access to the images as copyright and business law and transaction demands.

The spill over effect was when Alex, claimed to have made Nii and his 29 photo studios what it is today, something the latter took exception to, hence the below chronology post of his beginnings;

“In 2015, I, Nii Otoe Bruce-Tagoe ventured into the realm of sports photography, focusing on boxing in Ghana. At the time, the sport had a significant following but lacked vibrant representation on social media. Despite exciting bouts and events, little to no coverage was accessible to the broader audience, leaving the sport largely hidden from view. I saw this as an opportunity to contribute my passion and creativity to the boxing world in Ghana.

With a deep belief in God and unwavering determination, I began capturing and showcasing the beauty, intensity, and drama of Ghanaian boxing through my lens. My work transformed how the sport was perceived on social media. For the first time, the stories of Ghana’s boxers, their struggles, victories, and the electrifying moments inside the ring were vividly brought to life, earning widespread appreciation. The once-muted voices of boxing fans now resonated across platforms, creating buzz and building anticipation for events like never before.

It was through God’s guidance and my dedication that I brought visibility and recognition to Ghanaian boxing promotions. While one individual claims to have “made me who I am today,” it is important to clarify that every milestone in my journey has been God’s doing. It is by His grace and favor that I have grown into a celebrated photographer, culminating in my recognition as the 2023 AIPS No.1 ranked Africa’s Continental Action Sports Photographer.

My photography and media work have not only given Ghanaian boxing promotions a solid footing on social media but have also opened doors beyond Ghana’s borders. Today, these promotions stand firm, enjoying greater reach, engagement, and legitimacy. My images and narratives have showcased the talent and potential of Ghanaian boxers to the world, sparking interest and opportunities that were previously unimaginable.

This journey is a testament to God’s faithfulness and my commitment to excellence. I am honored to have played a part in transforming Ghanaian boxing into a sport that is now celebrated far and wide. My focus remains on using my craft to elevate sports in Africa while glorifying the One who made it all possible.

This is not the work of a single individual, claim, or promotion, it is the work of God, faith, vision, and hard work. Together with the boxing community, we have created something truly remarkable.” It concluded.
