Newly crowned West African Bantamweight Champion, Jessie Manyo Plange, on Monday, paid a working visit to the Secretatriat of the Ghana Boxing Authority(GBA) in Accra.
The purpose of the visit was to interact with the authorities of boxing’s governing body in the country as well as present his new title to the leadership.
The new champion was accompanied to the GBA by his local manager Ahmed Samed.
During the interaction, Manyo Plange praised the GBA President, Abraham Kotei Neequaye for his support towards the Gyms and his vision to change the face of boxing in Ghana by getting more Champions.
The visit follows the 33-year old’s round one technical knockout triumph over Isaac Owusu in the West Africa Bantamweight championship fight on Saturday night.
The bout was one of two main bouts on the card of Cabic Promotions’ latest event dubbed the “IDROWHYT BIG FIGHT NIGHT” which took place at the Idrowhyt Event Centre in Dansoman.
The bill also saw Emmanuel Quaye beat compatriot Agyemang Boateng to lift the National Middleweight title in a 12-round contest.
