At a time when it seemed boxing branding in Ghana was lacking that magical touch, one man took to himself to change the face of events by adding that lost piece to ensure Ghana boxing gets a facelift with respect to images we put out for the public consumption.
Mr. Nii Otoe Bruce-Tagoe, manager of 29PhotoStudio stormed the boxing scene with pictures that have been commended by top ranked boxing personalities across the world.
The new GBA election meant many other aspects of the Authority needed to be fixed to ensure the entire team move in unison. A new president was elected, a new board of executives formed, a new communications officer appointed and now a cameraman has been appointed.
In a letter dated 31st August, 2021 from the Ghana Boxing Authority to Mr. Nii Otoe Bruce-Tagoe, it reads,
“The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) presents its warm and sincere compliments and wishes to respectfully inform you that in compliance with article 4.11 of the Authority’s Constitution the Executive Board has unanimously agreed that you serve as an official GBA cameraman.
The Board believes strongly that your rich experience and knowledge of the sport will no doubt manifest itself and be of immense benefit to professional boxing.
Thank you.
Yourself faithful,
Abraham Kotei Neequaye
President.”
Mr. Bruce-Tagoe before the appointment said, “I know people are trying to build Ghana Boxing, but sometimes the label sells the product before we actually see its contents. I have been in this photography industry for long and I have specialised in boxing photography so I know what I can bring when called upon to help. Until the time comes I will keep doing what I love doing and that is boxing photography.”
Mr. Nii Otoe Bruce-Tagoe after expressing his desire to help put Ghana boxing on the world front has been given the opening to add his rich experience and knowledge to the already existing to ensure people fall in love with the sports graphically before the real event.
As this is marked by many as the step in the right direction, BoxinGhana.com also uses this medium to congratulate Mr. Bruce-Tagoe on his new adventure.
