Alex Ntiamoah-Boakye’s Box Office Sports Promotions in association with Bukom Fist of Fury, the Ghana Boxing League under the auspices of Ghana’s 63rd Independence Anniversary Committee presents two crowd pullers to the Bukom Boxing Arena.
It is the third war between Michael Ansah, the national lightweight champion defending his belt against former holder, Sherif Quaye who is on record to be the first boxer to win a title at the Boxing Arena.
Both boxers have large following, and since the press conference on Wednesday at the M J Grand to introduce the boxers, the excitement on the bout is escalating.
They had the opportunity to brag before the media, and Michael Ansah said he will end the fight on time, so his supporters must report to the arena on time.
Sherif Quaye has some respect for the champ, but warned him to prepare well or he may end his boxing career. Their fight is a Commonwealth eliminator.
Young enterprising Alfred Lamptey will face veteran Raymond Commey aka Chorkor Banku in a six round contest.
Felix Ajom will defend his national super featherweight title against good old Malik Jabil aka Bukom Snake.
Other potential great boxers on the bill are John Laryea, Stephen Abbey, Patrick Okine, Faisal Abubakar, the Zongo sensation who has promised to thrill and win again.
Rates for the bill are 30ghc for popular stand, 100ghc for second ringside and 200ghc for vvip where guests will be served with finger food and drinks.
