Michael Ansah, current Professional Boxing Council Commonwealth lightweight champion is set to make his first defense against World Boxing Union and PBC International titlist Nathan Beattie, billed 21st March 2020 at the Northern Hotel, Aberdeen in Scotland.
The hugely anticipated battle between Ghana’s national champion, Michael Ansah, and homeboy Aberdeen’s very own super-lightweight boxer Nathan Beattie’s championship contest is scheduled for twelve rounds and it headlines the Northern History Championship Boxing.
This match-up promises knockouts and exciting performances in the ring as ever. Michael Ansah commands a record of 18 victories, 2 draws and 10 defeats compared to that of Beattie’s 10 wins with four defeats.
The Ghanaian is hoping to continue where he left off when he defeated Ben Lamptey via a round 10 TKO at the last Azumah Nelson Fight Night in December 2019, winning in the process both the vacant interim Ghanaian Super Feather Title and the PBC belt.
Ansah is looking very confident ahead of the bout, though the last time that the Ghanaian visited the United Kingdom on a similar assigment against Terry Flanagan, a former world titlist, referee Hugh Russell Jr., disqualified him in the fourth round of their preliminary bout for “roughing” which percipitated the bout to end abruptly in round 4 at Ulster Hall in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
But the self styled “One Bullet” thus gets the opportunity for a second bite of the cherry, hopefully to correct the wrongs come fight night on March 21.
