On October 11, 2019, Former world champion Terry Flanagan will take on Ghanaian lightweight champion Michael Ansah the ‘One Bullet’ at Ulster Hall in Belfast, Northern Ireland in the United Kingdom.
The bout is being promoted by the astute MTK Global led by Lee Eaton and set to be telecast live by ESPN+ and commissioned by British Boxing Board of Control.
Ghana’s hard-puncher Michael Ansah is determined to stake a claim and raise his stocks high with this opportunity and is already promising victory “Trust me, I am going there to win” Ansah (17-9-2,11 KOs) told BoxingGhana.
But the former WBO lightweight champion Terry Flanagan is relishing a quick turnaround against the stubborn Ansah on an ESPN+ card headlined by Jay Harris vs. Paddy Barnes.
“I was pleased with the win in my last fight and now it’s about building on that momentum as I work towards getting back in the mix at world level at lightweight.
“I’m looking to produce another major performance on October 11 that reminds everyone just what I’m capable of.” Flanagan (34-2, 14 KO) earlier expressed in an interview.
Terry is going to be facing a much focused and determined Ansah who until recently was not so serious with the pugilist science. But now under a new management, they have secured back to back wins via KOs and was able to beat the much rated Sheriff Quaye in a rematch.
Ansah versus Flanagan is a real test case for both fighters to register their re-ambitions as this will arguably be their toughest test yet.
Boxing Ghana will keep readers posted on the latest and build up to the fight.
