Children love to go where their friends are or where they are welcome. Joseph Mensah, a young boy who resides in Jamestown has found a home at the Seaview Boxing Club.
The aspiring boxer comes to the facility to learn boxing every week day. Joseph goes to the gym at 4pm after he closes from School at New St. Thomas, a few streets from the Sea View Boxing Club.
The potential boxer revealed that he was brought to the facility by his father.
He said “My father brought me here to learn boxing, but I come every day because of my friends at Seaview. Joseph hopes to make his debut as a novice juvenile boxer in 2022. Coach Zico, trainer of Joseph has revealed that the young boxer is hard working and is improving very fast.

“I believe the boy can do great things and because he goes to school it is easy to teach him boxing”.
Joseph is eight years old and likes kenkey. Joseph explains that he wants to be a world champion, but his favorite sport is football. He draws inspiration from Mohammed Aryeetey, a professional boxer at Seaview.
