Inter-Continental Bantamweight champion Martin Hillman (16-7, 2 KOs) is facing a proper test in his first title-defense.
Not only will he be fighting a challenger coming off five straight knockout victories, but he will also be travelling thousands of miles to do so, at the legendary Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra, Ghana on March 5.
Hillman, from London, England, will take on Tanzanian puncher Baraka Mchongi (7-6, 7 KOs), who despite mediocre statistics is a very dangerous foe on a real run.
Hillman won the UBO title against another Tanzanian, out-pointing former UBO Africa champion Julias Kisarawe last April.
“I am very grateful for this opportunity, going abroad to defend my title. I am very proud of the UBO belt, and will be making sure I come back home with it”, said Hillman.
The Hillman vs. Mchongi UBO title fight will be part of a big card promoted by Platinum Punch Promotions in association with Box Office Sports.
