Michael Amoo Bediako, manager of the number one contender in the World Boxing Organisation bantamweight division Duke Micah is predicting 2019 as a big year for the Ghanaian ahead of their crunch meeting in New York.

“Also looking forward to seeing Duke Micah to discuss his future now that he is the number one ranked at World Boxing Organisation bantamweight. This is a big year for him and by all accounts he has settled in really well with new trainer Andre Rozier.” The owner of Streetwise Management twitted.

Duke Akuetteh Micah is now training with Andre Rozier, one of the most experienced boxing trainers in the world. But it is Micah’s pugnacious mentality that sets him apart in his quest for world title-ship this year.

“I am ready for a shot at the world title.” Duke stated.

The current WBC international champion and a boxer who represented Ghana at the 2012 Summer Olympics Men’s flyweight division is very ready for a chance at the world strap and 2019 is set to be his time after his compatriot Richard Commey who is fighting for the IBF world lightweight title on February the 2nd.

Amoo Bediako is already on his way to the Big Apple where both Richard Commey and Duke Micah are based.

“On my way to New York to catch up with Richard Commey at his training camp preparing for his upcoming IBF USBA boxing world title fight on Feb 2nd in Frisco, Dallas.” Amoo Bediako twitted.

What is a validated fact is that, 2019 is going to be a great year for Ghana Boxing with the likes of Richard Commey, Isaac Dogboe, Duke Micah, Patrick Allotey, Obodai Sai, Robert Quaye, Richard Harrison, Wasiru Mohammed and many others all in contention for a shot at the ultimate.
