Ambassador Ray Quarcoe, other top dignitaries Grace Salafest boxing gala at Kawukudi
For the first time in many years, Ambassador Ray Quarcoe attended a boxing show organised by Wisdom Boxing Promotions in the just ended “SALAFEST Boxing Gala” which took place last Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Decathlon Ghana – Kawukudi in Accra, Ghana.
Life Patron of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana, Ray Quarcoe, who has been absent from shows for years finally decided to end his hiatus and presented himself at the just ended the Salafest boxing show.
The celebrated Ghanaian philanthropist, businessman, and sports personality was a member of the Executive Committee of the African Boxing Federation of the International Boxing Federation (AIBA) in Switzerland. He was indeed one-time President of the Ghana Boxing Federation as well as Vice chairman of the welfare committee of the National Soccer Team.
Worthy of mention, perhaps the biggest traction was the unprecedented 5 Ambassadors and 27 members from the European Union that were in attendance, a novelty of a sort that must be commended by the Promotional syndicate as such initiatives commends and commands a lot of eyeballs and creates a paradigm shift in the Ghanaian boxingdom and beyond.
For young people that may be ablivious of these new developments, especially about the man Ray Quarcoe, well, he has made many top Ghanaian boxers realized their dreams as they achieved their full potential as world champions.
