LAWSON DEPARTS NEW YORK TO KENTUCKY

Frederick “General Okunka” Lawson in the company of coach Carl Lokko leaves New York where they are based to Louisville Kentucky for the inaugural WBC welterweight tournament presented by Evander Holyfield’s “Real Deal Boxing”.

“We have prepared to take everybody on and more importantly we are going into this fight to make Ghana proud nothing more nothing less” Carl Lokko the trainer of Frederick Lawson stated.

Lawson (26-1, 21KO) who holds the WBC welterweight International Silver title and in 18-11-2017 defeated Fidel Montetrosa Munoz by a round 3 TKO will be facing Baishanbo Nasiyiwula (13-1-1, 6KO) in his first fight of the tournament, is upbeat of his chances and is promising a spectacular night of boxing come Friday 27th April 2018 at the KFC YUM Center, Louisville, Kentucky.

On the same night Felix Diaz (19-2, 9KO) former WBC and WBA Super lightweight title contender faces Francisco Santana (24-6-1, 12KO).

Chris Van Heerden (25-2-1, 12KO) of South Africa takes on Timo Schwarzkopf (18-1, 10KO) and Brad Solomon (27-1, 9KO) lock horns with Paddy Gallagher (13-3, 8KO). The tourney is scheduled for 10 rounds in each bout.
