“Katembo won’t travel beyond round 6”, words of current WBO Africa  middleweight champion, Obodai ‘The Miracle’ Sai  as he looks to defend his title for the first time in the main event of Dons Promotions Big Fight Night christened “Battle for Supremacy” set to go down tomorrow at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, Accra-Ghana.

“The assembled media knows what i can do in the ring and what i have done so far. I am promising Ghanaians of a swift victory. I entreat all to come and watch Obodai Sai do his thing again. This fight won’t go beyond 6 or 7 rounds” He said.

“Winning this fight means a step towards the world title, i get to be ranked amongst the top 10 and that means a step closer to the world strap so this bout means a lot to me.” He told BoxingGhana.com exclusively.

Obodai is a two-time World Boxing Organisation Africa Middleweight Titlist and goes into this bout with superior stats of 35 victories, 3 losses and 26 by way of KOs against that of his nemesis, a much younger Democratic Republic Of The Congo pugilist Mardochee Kuvesa Katembo, 13 victories, with 2 losses and not a single recorded career KO.

So, Obodai has 26 reasons to expect the scheduled 12-round bout to end prematurely in his favor.

Nigeria’s Felix Williams will be in action in an all Nigerian encounter with Waidi Usman.

John Laryea is set to share the ring with experienced Ezekiel Annan and at stake is the local bragging rights.

In the other bouts, fans favourite, ‘hotcake’ Theophilus Tetteh will entertain the experienced and somewhat nervy Raymond Commey alias ‘Chorkor Banku’ with former Ghana lightweight champion, Nathaniel Kpakpo Allotey clashing gloves with Deo Samwel from Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania.

The make-weight event went on successfully at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel,  followed by the press conference later this afternoon.

The battle lines are drawn as we awaits 2019 debut of the Dons Promotions dubbed ‘Battle for Supremacy’
