Isaac the ‘royal storm’ Dogbe knocked out Mexico’s Cesar Juarez twice in a space of 10 minutes in one of the most one sided boxing bouts ever at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra, Ghana on Saturday night.
The early exchanges saw the Ghanaian coming out tops with some decent jabs coupled with some swift recovery movements and quality counter punching techniques.
Dogboe dropped his man in the second minute inside round two, then again in the fifth minute. Referee Tony Weeks had no option than to end the bout after Juarez peeled off on his canvass following another heavy punch inside round five – a move which the cornermen of the distraught Mexican couldn’t believe.
When boxing ghana contacted the Technical team of Juarez after the fight, they were reluctant and visibly furious with the decision to end the fight in that premature state.
According to them the fight was stopped prematuredly. “Why stop the fight ” exclaimed coach Manuel Lopez. “Let’s get out of here .” Virtually ordering his men to leave the venue.
Juarez was visibly shedding tears in disbelief as he heeded to his coach’s advise on leaving the arena.
Manuel Lopez was visibly furious and was seen ordering his charges to avoid any interview and to leave the scene.
In Boxing Ghana’s quest to ascertain the velocity of their claim, we chanced on ring judge, Deon Dwarte and this is what he had to say:
“The referee was doing his job. He was trying to save the boxer for another opportunity. This is so clear to see. Juarez was just out. The the referee did very well to protect him from further punishment.”

Boxingghana chanced on Juarez on the defeat, he reiterated ” I was not myself . Don’t know what happened.” In tears. But very magnanimous in defeat.
Make no mistake, Isaac the royal storm Dogboe is such a class act who really adopts other options in the ring. He is very smart and swift and has some very lovely counter punching skills that a few boxers like Mayweather,Pacquio and Cotto can boast of.
