Ghana national lightweight champion and sensational boxer Sheriff Quaye (16-1-1, 9KO) has signed the deal to fight the ubiquitous, self styled and toast of many boxing fans Michael “one bullet” Ansah.

It all started after “one bullet” Ansah (15-9-2, 10KO) won a resounding unanimous decision against Felix Ajom on the maiden Don’s Promotions fight night dubbed THE BATTLE OF TITANS.
“I’m ready to take the national lightweight title and will relish to have a return fight with Sheriff”. Ansah reiterated after he was declared winner on the 26th December last year.

After that pronouncement there has been a war of words and ranting by both boxers and their supporters. Box Office promotions arguably the most loud and successful promotional syndicate took the challenge to bring Quaye and Ansah to face off the second time and the boxers accepted the call to lock-horns in the ring. At a press confab on Thursday January 17, Box Office announced to stage the fight on March 8 at the Bukom Boxing Arena.

The icing on the cake on the night will be Joshua ” The Hitter” Clottey making a comeback with Mfaume Mfaume (14-5-2, 6KO)from Tanzania. Clottey (39-5-0, 22KO) has already hinted BoxingGhana.Com of a strong desire to square office in rematch against Manny Pacquiao.

“Looking back, I feel like I made a mistake with the Pacquiao fight by not throwing punches. But sometimes, to tell you the truth, I feel like it’s OK. I had a lot of issues with my manager at the time, Vincent Scolpino. He took advantage of me…….When I fought Pacquiao, I decided I was just going to defend myself. I wasn’t going to put my life on the line for people who did nothing, but take from me………I give it to Almighty Allah at the end. I can feed my family. So, I thank God for what he has given me. Has it left a bitter taste in my mouth? Yes, but a lot of things in boxing did that. That’s why I want to come back. I want it to be over on my terms. I still have a lot to offer. I want to win the world title again before I quit.” Joshua Clottey stated in an interview.

The former world champion is billed to fight on BOX Office promotions next promotional bout which christened March 8, 2019.
