Ghana’s duo Joseph Commey and Abraham Mensah have qualified to the finals in the featherweight (Over 54kg- 57kg) and Bantamweight (Over 51kg-54kg) divisions respectively in the ongoing Commonwealth Games.
Joseph Commey handed his Indian opponent Hussam Uddin Mohammed a 4-1 defeat in the semi-final bout today to book a place in the final.
Prior to Joseph Commey’s triumph in the semi’s today, Abraham Mensah had defeated Owain Harris-Allan of Wales by 3-0 to also qualify to the Bantamweight finals.
Abraham Mensah is therefore set to face Dylan James Eagleson of Northern Ireland in the Men’s Over 51kg-54kg (Bantamweight) on Sunday at 1:45pm.
Joseph Commey will face Jude Gallagher also from Northern Ireland in the Men’s Over 54kg- 57kg (Featherweight) finals at 6:00pm.
