The Pride of Volta Joseph ‘the King Kong’ Agbeko is ready to do battle with fellow Ghanaian Ekow Wilson in his first defence of his WBO Africa bantamweight strap in Woezor Hotel in Ho, the Volta Region of Ghana.

Agbeko has an incredible record of 39 bouts to his 5 losses with 25 of the victories coming by way of knockouts.

He won the vacant WBO Africa bantamweight title against Ugandan pugilist Frank Kiwalabye (16-1,12 KOs) via a unanimous points decision on March 30th of the year 2018.

He makes his first defence  of the strap against Ekow Wilson (20-2, 16 KOs), a knockout artiste with an 80 percentage wins so far.

The two time former bantamweight world champion who is now 38 years of age must up his game especially because his last outing was pretty close, perhaps dangerous close-to-call to call a bout.

He looked stamina suspect at a point but his power, passion and experience was there for all to see. For now age is his biggest enemy going into the bout but the former world champion is much aware of that.

Undercards billed to fight on the night are Dodzi Kemeh against Francis Mensah in the welterweight contest. Then in the super lightweight contest over 8 rounds, Anama Dotse welcomes Sani Yidana Kugblie also known as “Uganda.”

Other pair-ups see Nathaniel Nukpe clash gloves with Moses Dodze in the super featherweight challenge. In the welterweight contest, one Victus Kemevor will square off against his foe on the night Emmanuel Allotey.

A lightweight contest will see Samuel Klutse Tordzro testing his mettle against Enock Owusu popularly referred to as “Amazing.”

Finally,  Kwesi Tutu (50-38, 12 KOs), a boxer with more defeats than wins from Ghana will fight his Togolese counterpart John Koudeha (14-0, 12 KOs) in a catchweight middleweight challenge.
