Amateur boxer, Jessie Lartey who was Ghana’s sole medalist at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and current SWAG Amateur boxer of the year 2018 was joined by his father at the 2019 African Games in Morocco.

Lartekwei Lartey is the second assistant trainer of the Black Bombers, the Ghana National Boxing team.
He is also head coach at Fit Square Boxing Gym in Accra.
Ghana won one bronze medal in boxing at the 12th African Games as well as 8 other bronze medals in weightlifting, 2 silver and 2 gold to place 15th among 54 nations who participated at the Games.
