The undefeated hard puncher Jermall Charlo (27-0, 21KO) handed a round two (2) KO to Hugo Centeno (26-2, 14KO) this Saturday the 21st April 2018 at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York to win the WBC Interim middleweight title.

Charlo now becomes the mandatory opponent to challenge the title holder Genedy Golovkin.

Round one (1) saw tense opening giving opportunity for the boxers to size each other.

Charlo began to let his hand do the job and landed powerful crunchy combinations of right jab, left and right hooks to drop Centeno under the ropes.

“Two time world champion, bring on GGG, I wanna talk about it now. Bring Triple G on or what do you wanna call him? I’m ready, I’m ready mehn” says Jermall Charlo when he was asked how he would describe his performance.

Golovkin the middleweight unified champion defends two of his three titles on 5th May 2018 against Vanes Martiroyan as Canelo Alvarez faces a six month suspension for positive test of clenbuterol.
