Ghanaian born British fighter undefeated Joshua Buatsi tilt the scales earlier today at 12st 5lbs 7oz and Liam Conroy 12st 5lbs 9oz ahead of their championship clash for the vacant British light-heavyweight belt on the undercard of Charlie Edwards WBC title defense against Angel Moreno at the Copper Box Arena tomorrow Saturday.

Buatsi as usual was in his boisterous mood beaming with confidence.

His post weigh-in comments reads:

“It’s something I must add to my cupboard, I’ve got space in there to add another trophy and that’s the next one I’ll be doing.

“Most importantly champions that have come out of this country have pretty much gone that same
route. They have won the British title before and have gone on to win big things. So for me it’s important to kind of follow that step, just to show that ok ‘he’s conquered Britain’ and then I will look elsewhere.” Anthony Joshua’s prized asset Buatsi stated.

“It will be world titles after that but it’s for the team to sit down and come up with the best route possible for myself but most importantly it’s all focus for Saturday night to make sure I win that title.” Buatsi expressed.

Buatsi’s manager the current unified world heavyweight champion, holding three of the four major championships in boxing Anthony Joshua had some kind words for his protege.

“I always look at people outside of the ring, Buatsi, a devoted man to his religion, well educated, so I think his star quality is his devotion to the sport, and how intelligent he is. He mixes that devotion with his intelligence and he puts it into the ring.”

Buatsi (9-0,7KOs) is set to add the British belt to his collections come tomorrow Saturday against Liam Conroy (16-3-1,8KOs).
