Isaac Dogboe To Defend World Belt Against Hidenori Otake On August 25
WBO World super bantamweight champion, Isaac Dogboe (19-0, 13 Kos) will face Japanese Hidenori Otake (31-2-3 14 KOs) on August 25th in USA.
The clash will be Dogboe’s first defense of his belt since claiming the belt On April 28th, 2018 in Philadelphia, USA.
The 23 year-old hard puncher destroyed the then champion Magdaleno in round 11 to become Ghana’s eighth world champion and Ghana’s youngest world champion.
On the aforementioned date, Dogboe will be risking his trap against the experienced Japanese.
Otake, 36, is ranked 6th by the WBO and he holds the OPBF super bantamweight belt.
Otake holds a four-year winning streak, the last time he lost a bout was in 2014 when he was outpointed by Scott Quigg.
His first career loss was against compatriot Manabu Koguchi in 2007.
The fight against Dogboe will be Otake’s second fight outside the shores of Japan – the first one was against Quigg.
Before Dogboe get a unification fight against the other champions in the division, he must take care of Otaka.
