In a video exclusive to boxing Ghana, Paul Dogboe, father and trainer of former Super Bantamweight Champion of the world, Isaac Dogboe, has confirmed that the Ghanaian warrior sustained an injury during a training session on the mountains of Calabasas.

” Isaac (Dogboe) just had a little ankle injury when we went outdoors to train. He stepped on a rock and then he fell…when we were on the mountains training in Calabasas, it is just a minor set back. everybody is down hearted…”Paul Dogboe expressed.

Boxing Ghana can assure Ghanaians that he did not sustain any serious injuries though it puts his next bout in November in serious doubt.

Dogboe suffered a 12th round TKO in a rematch with Mexican, Emanuel Navarrete in May having lost his title to him late last year and was feverishly preparing to hit the square ring on November 30 against a former sparring partner and a world champion Carl Frampton (26-2, 15 KO)  , a move many thought was too early but now nature has taken it course.

Isaac Dogboe, ( 20-2,14 KOs) an all action style fighter touted as Africa’s next pay per view star has a big task to relaunch his career back to his previous status and with the team around him.

Boxingdom and boxingGhana wishes the Ghanaian warrior a quick recovery.
