Isaac Dogboe set to fight Carl Frampton on November 30 in California ?

According to the BBC, Former two division world champion, Carl Frampton (26-2, 15 KOs) is set to fight Ghana’s Isaac ‘the royal storm’ Dogboe (20-2, 14 KOs) in two months time in California, whiles Michael Conlan is also set to face Vladimir Nikitin in New York on 14 December after the Russian withdrew from August’s fight in Falls Park.

Frampton has been on the shelf with a hand injury, which wiped out a fight against Emmanuel Dominguez but his promoters have paired him against a far more compelling opponent than Dominguez, even with his recent struggles. “Royal Storm” was on his way for the 2018 Fighter of the Year candidacy after knocking out Cesar Juarez, Jessie Magdaleno, and Hidenori Otake.

Frampton has the advantage punching power over Dogboe, but that won’t ensure victory. Dogboe has excellent stamina, and he’s a lot younger than Frampton at 24. Although Dogboe is coming off of a 2-fight losing streak to Emmanuel Navarrete, he’s arguably facing an easier foe in Frampton. It’s not that Frampton isn’t still a good fighter, but he’s not fighting at the level of Navarrete. It’s logical to assume that if Frampton had fought Navarrete twice in a row, he would have lost both fights too.

Boxing Ghana will confirm the story as soon as we get a confirmation from team Dogboe.
