Ghana’s former WBO World Super bantamweight champion Isaac ‘the Royal storm’ Dogboe is back to the basics in his quest to rekindle his thirst and anger for the sport that many connoseuirs of the sweet science have tipped him to dorminate for a long time.
Recounting his days as Journeyman to his graduation to become one of the very best in the world, the Ghanaian paid homage to all and sundry.
“It’s Been 10 Years. I Walk Through The Black Doors And The Same Old Smell, The Smell Of Sweat and Testosterone Hits Me And I Remember Those Nights The Coaches Would Scream, ISAAC Don’t Load Up. Use Your Jab. Punches In Bunches. Boy, I Remember Them Nights Like It Was Yesterday. Call It Whatever You Want To, Tear-Up, Mano-A-Mano,Pound 4 Pound, Tick-4-Tack Etc. It Was Fun. At least I Thought It Was, I Had A Kick Out Of It. Busting Someone’s Nose Or Mouth, Getting Your Nose Or Mouth Busted Up or Seeing It Happen To Some One Else. SOUNDS SAVAGERY AND UNCIVILISED, I KNOW.
This Is A Lonely Sport After All. You Take The Beatings Alone, It’s Like Starting Up A Business, You Risk Everything In Hopes That You’ll Reap The Fruit Of Thy Labour, The Rewards, The Fame And Glory, The Sweet, Magnificent Glory.
This Is Boxing!
I Always Said To Myself “It’s Better To Take A Beating In The Gym Than In A Real Fight” The fact was some of us were so competitive, we HAD THAT SPARKLE OF FIRE 🔥 IN OUR EYES but others were just surfing the waves.
I Walk On And The 2 Rings Are Situated At The Same Spot On Your Right Side As You Walk Through The Entrance Of The Gym Doors The Only Change Is That Now They’re Branded Apart From That Nothing Else Has Changed Much Except The New Faces I See, The New Good Looking Generation.
LOL I’m Not Saying My Generation we were Bad Looking. By My Observation The New Generation Look Innocent 😇 And Nice, You Don’t See That Killer Instinct, ”That Fire In Their Eyes.”
Most Of Us Were Small In Size Compared To the NEW GENERATION but We were Hardened And Built For War, We Were Gentle In Appearance But Could Be Very Spiteful In The Ring. You could See That Fire 🔥 And Passion In Our Eyes.
We Did Get Scared, Don’t Get Me Wrong We Weren’t Invincible but We Overcame Our Fears Each Time We Stepped Into The Ring.
Some Familiar Face From My Time At The Club. We Haven’t Really Aged That Much, At All.
THIS IS THE LODGE.

I Have Come Back In Search Of That Sparkle The Fire 🔥 That Once Had Me Running At Dawn By Myself As A Teenager #NeHo #IsaacDogboe #10yearschallenge #ThisIsMyStory #PickingUpThePieces #Fire.” Dogboe recounted on his Facebook wall.
Isaac Dogboe is preparing for a sweet comeback against Mexican opponent Emanuel Navarrete in May of this year 2019. The Ghanaian is endowed with talent, artistry and the hunger to re-claim the strap he lost due to complacency on December 8, 2018.
