Newly crowned WBO world super bantamweight Isaac Dogboe received hero’s welcome following his superb victory over Jessie Magdalenolast Saturday in Philadelphia, USA.
The Ghanaian recovered from round one knockdown to annihialtes the Mexican by stopping him in round 11 after dropping the latter three times.
On Tuesday evening, Dogboe landed at the Kotoka International Airport in the company of his father and trainer Paul Dogboe.
Some government officials led by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly boss Mohammed Adeji Sowah greeted Dogboe on his arrival.
The Ghana Boxing Authority led by Peter Zwennes were also at the airport.
The supporters were also not left out as the Ghana Boxing Supporters Union and the Apostle Revelation Society (Dogboe’s church) came in their numbers to cheer the new champ.
