Born Onesmo Alfred, Educated at a Kishumundu village primary school, Joined Mazengo Technical Secondary School, Man of many talents, soccer, athletic, boxing, singing, Great Academic Achiever, Joined Boxing early as a Professional boxer, Moved to Nairobi Kenya as a professional, Set out for expedition from Nairobi – Cairo longest trek, Kidnapped while in the boat along River Nike, Juba, Southern Sudan by SPLA soldiers known as Anyanya II, Escaped from the SPLA soldiers while on way on towards Eritrea, Rescued by the Sudanese Army Battalion and taken to Khartoum Military Headquarters.
A long train journey from Khartoum to Wada Alfa and then a boat to Asyut and a train to Cairo and Alexandria. Worked as a physical instructor at the Gullen Schools in Alexandria.
Set off for Israel and arrested at Sinai’s Israel / Egyptian border, and taken to Cairo. Escaped and sheltered by the Coptic Church in Cairo. Flown by the Coptic Church to Athens, Greece. Joined the tourism industry in Greece as a Tour Guide. Moved to Ierapetra, Sitia, Mykonos, Santorin, Chania, Heraklion and Scorpios Islands as Tour Guide. Joined the American College of Greece.. Worked with the UNHCR in Genoa, Italy as English Instructor to the Eastern European Refugees. Launched one of the first private companies in the communist Hungary (Budapest).Meet and married a beautiful and lovely Danish wife.
Moved to Botswana and setup consulting and construction company in Gaborone. Launched series of enterprises in IT, services, education and sports. Became Siemens Nixdorf distributor to SADC. Visited Tanzania and was elected to the first Board of Directors of CRDB Bank Ltd Kilimanjaro. Became the Chairman of the Board of CRDB Bank Ltd Kilimanjaro. Elected at the Vocational Educational and Training Authority (VETA) Northern for 12 consecutive years. Launched Tanzania Vocational Educational and Training Association (TAVETA). Became President of TAVETA.
He have visited over 100 countries around the world some of them i.e USA, UK, Denmark, Botswana, South Africa, UAE, Thailand over 40 times each! Became a chatter member of the Sister Cities International, USA.

He a member of the IBF World Ratings Committee in New Jersey, USA and the IBF Muaythai Board of Directors in Bangkok, Thailand. He was also the Director of the London based Commonwealth Boxing Council (CBC) for 19 years.
As the Coordinator of the New York, US based International Education and Resources Network (iEARN) to Tanzania was named the “Technologist of the Century” by the Office of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania in 2000.
Onesmo Co-ordinates US government sponsored “Access English Language Microscholarship Programs” in Kilimanjaro aim at enhancing and strengthen English language of talented students from underprivileged communities.
He was recently named an Ambassador of Goodwill of the State of Kentucky, USA as “Kentucky Colonel” a lifetime award that was bestowed on him by the Governor of the State of Kentucky in the USA. He is also member of the Order of St. George North America whose Chairperson is Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain.
He have studied several professional programs in several prestigious institutions like University of Harvard, University of Santa Barbara, University of Southern Florida and University of Copenhagen.
Onesmo Alfred McBride Ngowi launched series of sister city links. He has educated over 25,000 youths on the IT and related technologies. He has managed projects in Botswana, Namibia, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Ethiopia and Tanzania.
He is currently a consultant of mass housing projects in Mali, Namibia, Ethiopia, Cambodia, Laos that incorporate renewable energy i.e waste to energy, solar and wind.
An “Award-winning prolific Entrepreneur and Philanthropist, Onesmo has achieved so much within a short spell in life.
With dedication and holistic beliefs on his tenacities, Onesmo’s gigantic rise to the corporate boardrooms is due to his hard work and business shrewdness.
