Ghana’s Richard Commey(26-2, 23 KOs) KOed Alex Alejandro ‘el charro’ Luna (24-1, 15 KOs) in the sixth round to set himself up the second time against undefeated Robert Easter Junior.
It was a keenly contested bout during the early exchanges but as the fight wore on Commey proved too difficult for the young Mexican American fighter.
“I’m coming back strong and I have got unfinished business. I am going to get my world title shot.” Commey told the press
As promised, Richard Commey delivered on the day and is now aiming for the world title fight against Robert Easter Junior (21,0 14 KOs).
“I’ll be fighting in December and I’m here with Andre Rozier training for it.” Richard Added.
The hard hitting Ghanaian was mostly appreciated on twitter for his fighting spirit.
Lou Dibella was first to congratulate Commey on his victory.
The Ghanaian is now set for the world title fight against Robert Easter Junior later this year for a second bit at the cherry.
