IBF/AFRICA’S ICT INCUBATION PROGRAM WINDS-UP WITH GREAT PRESENTATIONS FROM THE INCUBATORS

The five (5) finalists of the IBF/Africa’s ICT Incubation Program winded-up their two and half year training program by presenting their projects to solve community’s problems also as income generating. The Presentations took place at the KITC Teachers Laboratory at Technology House, Ghalla Road, Moshi, Tanzania this morning 09:30 hrs.

MARIAM ABUKABAR: KAKA GUIDE TOURS & SAFARIS
Mariam Abubakar who is the only female left in the program after the other four (4) left the program the end of first year, pretested a highly and efficient program on the “Cultural and Eco-Tourism”. She eloquently presented the problems facing many young people particularity those involved in the trade and put forward several solutions that can solve my-rand of problems bedeviling the budding sector.

NATHAN PAULO: NATHAN ONLINE SHOPPING
Nathan Paulo presented great PowerPoint that eloquently provided solutions and way forward to most young people searching and finding clothing wears around Moshi. Nathan is trying to solve the problem engulfing the society especially young people with tight working schedules to get their clothing requirements while keeping pace with their daily schedules. His website will enable people to continue working while shopping online for their requirement.

SAID SAID: COMPUTER ENGINEERING SYSTEM
Said’s website will enable many local residents to but their ICT services and accessories online at a click of a button. He has simplified the way people can access available ICT services solutions easily. As the era of digital technology, the present environment encourages innovations that can tame the country’s chronic problems in various sectors so Said’s solutions are inline with the current needs.

RAMADHANI JUMA: ROYAL ONLINE FURNITURE TRADE
The online furniture trade will link most local furniture manufacturers to one huge database so that with the click of a button, one can access any type and cost of furniture required. This will assist local furniture manufacturers to focus on developing while leaving Online Furniture Trade with the marketing and sale of their products. It will also reduce time spent by furniture customers driving from one furniture warehouse to another looking for furniture of their choices.

HAMZA SHEKIBAHA: FERTILIZER PROJECT
Hamza’s agricultural input trade seek to tame the runaway inflation cause by high cost of inputs and inadequate inputs such as fertilizers, pesticides, farm machinery, animal feed and genetic material. Coming from agriculture area, Hamza’s interests is to solve problems facing small farmers to make profits in their trade. Over 75% of Tanzania’s economy is based on agricultural sector so, this will be a great solution to the country’s economy.

The “IBF/Africa’s ICT Incubation Program” was sponsored by IBF/Africa with a total value of US$ 23,480. The current program winds-up end of December after the five (5) Incubators descends from Mt. Kilimanjaro where they expect to take part in the “Climb4HiawathaKnight&TonyaMuro” December this year.

The next cycle of IBF/Africa’s ICT Incubation Program for 10 youth will start enrollment on January 2019 for a two year program.
