Ghana’s phantom phenom and the current International Boxing Federation (IBF) lightweight champion of the world Richard Oblitey Commey was emphatic when quizzed on who he preferred to fight next between the fast rising Teofimo Lopez and WBA/WBO champion Vasiliy Lomachenko.
If you have to choose these two boxers, Teofimo Lopez and Lomachenko who would you want to fight ?
“Honestly, if I have to choose between Teofimo (Lopez) and (Vasiliy)Lomachenko I will choose Lomachenko.”
The hardened Jamestown native was under no illusion on how much his IBF belt is been sought after.
Teofimo Lopez and Lomachenko are after your title, You are a wanted man, How does it feel to be a wanted man ?
“Definitely I know a lot of people are after that title so I will be ready for them.”

Richard Commey is yet to make his first defense of the IBF Strap that he won against Russian Isa Chaniev in a blockbuster fashion when he KOed Chaniev in round 2. But for his hand injury in the process, the Ghanaian was christened to unify the belts with Vasyl Lomachenko on April 12.
Commey will return in the ring in June or July for his maiden title defense and then later in the year demystify the so called invincibility of Lomachenko in a unification battle.
