Astute boxing promotor Michael Amoo Bediako Senior has strongly voiced his disapproval over comments by Former WBA World welterweight champion Ike ‘Bazooka’ Quartey.
Ike, stated emphatically that Isaac Dogboe is Ghana’s only hope for a world title.
Michael was responding to a boxingghana.com story on Twitter which the ‘Bazooka man’ stated unequivocally that Ghana’s only world title hopeful is Isaac Dogboe.
In a twit, the UK based Ghanaian sharply voiced his disaproval with the position made by the former WBA welterweight champion.
“I strongly disagree, we have Richard Commey and Duke Micah both plying their trade in the US which gives Ghana more than one hope of winning a world title.” Quoted Michael Amoo Bediako Snr.
Earlier, Ike Quarty, granted an interview with an Accra-based radio station Joy FM stating that
“The only boxer now that can win a World title for Ghana is Isaac Dogboe.” Ike Said.
But it is obvious that the statement did not sit well with most boxing followers with the first amongst many to have registered their hostility towards the assertion being Michael Amoo Bediako Senior of Streetwise Promotions.
