Don’t be a shananegan, if there is one thing you hate about former IBO lightweight champion Emmanuel the ‘game boy’ Tagoe perhaps it’s his penchant to get under the skin of even the thickest one with his confident trash talking.

Currently challenging for the WBO Africa Title, the Jamestown native is resolved to set the record straight and to silent his critics

“People talk about me like they know me, but they don’t. Some even say am I joker in the ring. And that I talk too much.

But boxing is about trash talking. You have to understand the business. When you talk confidently you must equally back it up with solid performances.” Tagoe told BoxingGhana’s Samuel Ofosuhene.

“I have said this time and again, In-terms of the lightweight division am the best in Ghana and I am soon going to be the best in Africa and the world very very soon.” Tagoe retorted.

With 28 victories, fourteen by way of KO’s and a solitary defeat, the former bad boy turned pugilist had praises for the father of Dogboe.

“I respect Dogboe’s Dad a lot and it’s simple, for what he has done for his son in such a short space of time.

But as he is equally aware how the business goes. When we have to trash talk why not, I won’ spare him.

It’s just business nothing personal, It’s only a novice that gets personal with show business.” The outspoken boxer reiterated.

The Ghanaian will make his return to the ring on October the 20th against former WBA lightweight World Champion, Paulus Moses of Namibia (40-4, 24 KOs) and at stake is the WBO Africa lightweight title on the very maiden event of Asamoah Gyan Fight Night scheduled at the magnificent Bukom Boxing Arena come 20 of October.
