According to Briamah Kamoko popularly called Bukom Banku, he has single handedly kept Ghana boxing alive for the past ten years and deserves commendation for the feat.
“Ask GBA why Ghana boxing is on the descendency. I have kept Ghana boxing alive for 10 years.” remarked Bukom Banku, when the host Abeiku Santana posed a question on the recent misfortunes of Ghanaian boxers.
Briamah Kamoko was speaking on the popular weekly program aired on a Ghanaian local television network based in Accra-Ghana, UTV on the show Atuu.

The Ghanaian is now the World Boxing Union (WBU) International cruiserweight champion of the world and has further improved his enviable record to (31- 1, 24 KOs).
When quizzed if he fancied a rematch with his only silencer, he reiterated
“I am on a different level, Now am on the international stage and I am planning to defend my title in November so Bastie is not on my level at all.” Banku told the host Abeiku Aggrey Santana.
