I draw energy for my fights anytime I visit Ghana – Joshua Buatsi

World Boxing Association International light heavy titlist, Joshua Buatsi has revealed his biggest motivating energy for his fights.

 

He revealed this in an interview with a local Ghanaian boxing journalist famed for his blog ‘Dornu’s Corner.’

 

“To be at the top u need to be consistent. Work is part but consistent. When I come here and see everyone I get energy. I draw energy from here. So when I’m preparing for my fights I remember that this is where I’m from. I look at the conditions good and bad, I take what I can take from it to motivate me when I’m training.” The former Olympic bronze medalist said.

 

The Ghanaian born British professional pugilist also promised to bring the world title to Ghana should he win.

 

Buatsi was born on 14 March, 1993 in the capital of Ghana, Accra but lived in Tema. Moved to the United Kingdom at an early age with his parent.

 

A product of Edenham High School, Buatsi graduated at the St. Mary’s University in Twickenham in the United Kingdom.

 

A cousin to former bamtamweight world champion Isaac Dogboe, Buatsi is a proud Voltarian who still remember his roots in Ghana.
